The Croatian competition of young musicians Papandopulo was founded in 2012 with the aim of promoting the artistic achievements of young musicians in a stimulating and professional environment and encourages the development of artistic careers of the upcoming generation.

The fourteenth edition of the Papandopulo Competition is another opportunity to look back on the successes of previous participants, and we can conclude with great satisfaction that all previous laureates are recognized artists on Croatian and international podiums, and for many the Papandopulo Competition was a crucial stone to success on major international stages.

Named after the favorited and one of the most prolific Croatian composers, Boris Papandopoulo, the competition revives the spiritual heritage of the generations that created our authorial and performing potential on which Croatia's high musical and artistic achievements are based. This year's Competition also marks the 120th anniversary of the birth and 35 years since the death of Boris Papandopulo
