Tjaša Šulc Dejanović is a multi-awarded and internationally recognized pianist from Maribor, Slovenia. She completed her studies and postgraduate studies at the Academy of Music, University of Zagreb in the class of Prof. Ksenija Kos, after which she continued her studies in Italy at the Accademia Musicale Santa Cecilia in Bergamo with Prof. Konstantin Bogino and collaborated with other famous professors and pianists such as: Eugen Indjic, Noel do Carmo Flores, Jasminka Stančul, Karl Heinz Kämmerling, Sijavuš Gadžijev, Vasily Lobanov, Anatoly Katz and others.
During her studies, she was awarded the highest award of the University of Zagreb – the Rector's Award for her performance of Schumann's Piano Concerto in A minor, which she performed with Maestro
Pavlo Dešpalj and the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra.
Tjaša Šulc Dejanović has won national and international competitions and won top prizes at competitions in Slovenia, Italy, Croatia and France.
She regularly performs solo, in chamber ensembles and orchestras in Slovenia and abroad - China, Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Poland, Croatia.
She has played with various orchestras as a soloist or as part of an orchestra in Slovenia and abroad. She has also been a guest of the Porin Quartet in the Lisinki Hall in Zagreb, played in various chamber ensembles with renowned Slovenian and Croatian musicians, and has been a guest at various international festivals and concert cycles such as: Carpe Artem - Slovensko narodno gledališče Maribor, Lent Festival, Le X giotnate Brescia, Festival di Musica da camera citta di Lucca Festival Arsana, Liszt Festival - Auditorium Giorgio Gaber Milano, I Concerti del Sant Alessandro Bergamo, Epta Cycle - Pianissimo, Mladinski cikel - Narodni dom Maribor, Concert subscription Grad Rače, Odmev poletja Festival, Preplata Kulturstadl Reimlingen - Kultrurforum Nordlingen, Maribor Festival.
In 2017, the CD Carpe artem was released and the digital album: Zapisi/Notes where Tjaša Šulc Dejanović with a string quartet (Haas, Batalović, Trnjar Pravdič, Sajko) recorded the Piano Quintet in E major, Op. 15 by E.W. Korngold. The CD was created in collaboration with the London publishing house Hedone Records, and received excellent reviews and a bronze award at the Global Music Awards in the classical music category.
In 2024, she made her debut on a concert tour in China with Croatian trumpeter Vjeran Ježek in concert halls such as: Yingkou cultural and Art Center, Development Area Grand Theater Dalian, Hebei Arts Center Shijiazhuang and Gulamgyu Concert Hall.
That same year, she released her first solo CD, which includes all of Chopin's Etudes op. 25 and Schumann's Kreisleriana.
Her successes were covered in articles in newspapers: Večer (Slovenia), Virkla (review of Slovenian piano teachers - EPTA), Fenix ​​magazine (Germany), reports were recorded for RTV Maribor, RTV Slovenia- Kultura, she recorded for Radio Maribor, RTV Slovenia; she was a guest on various TV stations in Slovenia and Croatia.
She is employed as a piano professor at the Maribor Conservatory of Music and Ballet.
