Matteo Bocelli, a rising star in the classical crossover genre, has just announced his new European tour, Summer Nights, and will perform at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall on June 21, 2025. Since his debut appearance on the single Fall On Me with his father, Andrea Bocelli, in 2018, to his rendition of Time To Say Goodbye paired with a new Hans Zimmer piece at the 2024 Oscars, Matteo Bocelli has been making a name for himself in the world of music.

 

At just 27 years old, singer-songwriter Matteo Bocelli has performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, captivating audiences with his heartfelt songs and dynamic vocal performances. His 2024 A Night With Matteo tour, which brought him to Croatia as well, sold out renowned venues, including the Sydney Opera House and the Country Music Hall of Fame. He has sung for King Charles III and Queen Camilla, President Biden, and even opened for music legend Lionel Richie.

As the son and occasional collaborator of the renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli, Matteo has had a lifelong music education and an innate curiosity, which he showcases in his debut solo album, Matteo, a bold step into the spotlight. Immersed in music from a young age, Matteo began piano lessons as a child. Although his father encouraged him to explore life beyond music, Matteo discovered his calling as a teenager. “I’ve always loved music since I was young,” he says. “But it became something more than a passion when I was around 16 or 17.” His live debut was at the Colosseum in Rome at 18, and in 2018, he and his father released Fall On Me, an emotional duet about the parent-child relationship, which has garnered over 400 million streams worldwide.

 

Matteo grew up listening to opera and classical music, as well as the “great voices” like Whitney Houston and Frank Sinatra. As a teenager, he expanded his musical tastes to modern pop, becoming particularly inspired by singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. “I really consider him a genius,” says Matteo. In 2020, Matteo released his first solo single, Solo, a beautiful love song that merges classical aria elements with pop melody, drawing widespread attention for his talent. His debut solo album, Matteo, released in 2023, led to a series of highly successful concerts across the United States, Europe, and Australia, establishing Matteo Bocelli as a current musical sensation. The album reveals all facets of his artistry—not only his powerful yet vulnerable vocal style but also his songwriting abilities.

 

He contributed to the songwriting across the project, including the lead single For You, a triumphant, pulsing track dedicated to a friend, showcasing Matteo’s impressive falsetto. While Matteo’s voice is the sole vocal on Matteo, his pop idol Sheeran contributed by writing Chasing Stars, an expansive ballad that highlights Matteo’s upper range. Although Fasi tells a story of self-confidence, the piano ballad I'm Here emphasizes the importance of connecting with others—even when it may be painful. “‘I’m here’ is a powerful thing to say,” says Matteo. “I think it’s beautiful when someone says, ‘I’m here whenever you need me,’ whether you want to share a joyful moment or you’re feeling down and need time to express your emotions. Life is beautiful when you can be there for someone.”

 

After the success of his recent collaboration Falling Back with Polish superstar Sanah, Matteo recently released his new single If I Knew, featuring multi-platinum, Oscar-nominated artist Sofia Carson. This heartfelt duet marks another milestone in Matteo’s career as he continues to forge his genre, following the success of his debut album.

Tickets for Matteo Bocelli’s A Summer Night concert will be available for presale via the artist’s newsletter on Tuesday, 19^th of November at 10 am and via Spotify on Thursday 21^st of November at 10 o’clock. . General ticket sales open Friday, November 22, at 10 a.m., ranging from 39 to 64 euros, available via the online Eventim system and at Eventim outlets. VIP packages, including premium seating, a meet-and-greet, and a photo opportunity with Matteo, can also be bought via Eventim.
