An unforgettable night with Chris White and Terence Ries, original members of Dire Straits

The Dire Straits Experience is coming back to Zagreb! After the standing ovation of the sold-out Lisinski and three encores, the band comes to make the audience dance once again with the greatest hits of the legendary Dire Straits. A group of top musicians led by saxophonist christ white and vocalist Terence Reis will once again turn Lisinski into a rock hall with an oublik who was already on his feet on the third song and truly enjoying the real concert. A band that does not need a video wall, a spectacular stage, dancers and pyrotechnics - because they are a full-blooded rock band that creates a spectacle with just their musical knowledge and virtuosity!
"They exceeded all my expectations"
"The music school of Chris White and his band!"
" This is the closest you can get to Dire Straits and this concert will be etched in my memory! "- are just some of the comments on last year's concert on social networks.
It's been more than 35 years since Dire Straits broke up, leaving behind many legendary compositions and those created during the heyday of rock. With over one hundred and twenty million albums sold, record sales continue to grow as more young fans discover their music and join the band's global following.
Against the background of this hiatus of more than three decades - and a growing need to hear one of the most dramatic pieces of music in rock history live again - Dire Straits members Alan Clark, Chris White and Phil Palmer formed The Straits for a benefit concert at the Royal Albert Hall in 2011. As Knopfler embarked on an incredibly successful solo career, Alan Clark asked songwriter Terence Reis to lead the band in Knopfler's absence. By the time The Straits broke up three and a half years later, the band had played more than 400 concerts in 35 countries around the world.
After being invited to perform a series of concerts in New Zealand and Australia, Chris White and Terence Reis began to work together again in a formation called The Dire Straits Experience. They were joined by a superb band of some of Britain's finest musicians. It is enviable that they could collaborate with people from the ranks of rock legends such as Mark Knopfler, David Gilmour, Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, Elton John, David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Tina Turner, Van Morrison, Tom Jones and Sheryl Crow and others.
Chris White, who has collaborated with Mark Knopfler on film scores since the early 80s, joined Dire Straits in 1985 for the record-breaking Brothers In Arms world tour. This included their performance at Live Aid and later at Nelson Mandela's 70th birthday concert in 1988. He played on Dire Strais' last album, 'On Every Street', and again took part in a two-year world tour that produced a live album and DVD. 'On The Night'.
The famous song "Brothers in Arms", which talks about the senselessness of war and has a strong anti-war message, is needed today more than ever due to the destruction of war in the world. It is the same part of Lederer's documentary Banijska ratna praskozorja, so it has a special meaning for Croatia.
We invite all fans of the character and part of Dire Straits to join us once again in this celebration of top music.
Given that at the last concert Lisinski was too small for everyone who wanted to listen to this excellent band, we suggest that you get your ticket in time.
