One of the most popular summer festivals will take place at Klovićevi Dvori Gallery, an attractive venue in Gornji Grad, this year again.
The 37th Evenings in Grič will include as many as nine music highlights and host numerous top artists, who will certainly provide unforgettable experiences to all visitors.
The festival will be opened by the acclaimed Ivan Goran Kovačić Academic Choir, especially famous for the programme that it will perform together with numerous soloists on 28 June. It is Carl Orff's masterly piece Carmina Burana with conductor Maestro Ivan Josip Skender featuring Sudar Percussion. “Mozart is Alive!” - according to the MozART Group from Poland that will perform the musical cabaret of the same name on 1 July. Singer Maja Posavec, accompanied by guitarist Ivan Kapec, will perform the greatest hits of legendary singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen on 3 July. She will be followed by a film music night with the Nino Rota Ensemble from Italy on 5 July. An impressive percussion project by the Sudar Percussion group: Oxygene - Music by J.-M. Jarre is on on 8 July, and Roby Lakatos, who is well-known to the Zagreb audience and who delights audiences with his violin virtuosity, will appear two days later, on 10 July. The festival will briefly move to the Large Hall of Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall, where the Croatian Radio and Television Jazz Orchestra will host renowned saxophonists Victor Goines, Branford Marsalis, Rosario Giuliani, Perico Sambeat and Krzysztof Urbanski and, under conductor Andreas Marinello, enhance the programme of the XVIII World Saxophone Congress. The Bromley Youth Chamber Orchestra is coming to the Klovićevi Dvori Gallery Atrium on 15 July to perform pieces by Händl, Mozart, Elgar, Piazzolla and others. After them, on 17 July, three very well-known ladies, prominent musicians, will take the stage: Marija Pavlović, Monika Leskovar and Martina Filjak. Their masterful performances of pieces by Beethoven and Brahms will close the 37th Evenings in Grič.
