Events

The concert is organised by the Mixed Choir “Viva la musica”, whose members cultivate and promote the musical heritage of maestro Emil Cossetto. It forms part of Cossetto Days, a festival dedicated to the life and work of one of Croatia’s most distinguished composers, choirmasters and researchers of traditional music.
The entire programme consists of works by Emil Cossetto, arranged to follow the arc of his creative output — from the Sephardic sacred heritage of the Mediterranean to the folk music of Slavonia.
The programme opens with the Mixed Choir “Viva la musica” performing Partita Sefardica, conducted by its artistic director and conductor Mo. Nina Cossetto. It continues with the Tamburitza Orchestra “Gaj” under conductor Krešimir Račić in a medley of Cossetto’s works, followed by Čardaš performed by clarinettist Juraj Panić accompanied on the piano by Melina Cossetto. The concert closes with Cossetto’s folk-inspired works performed jointly by the choir and the orchestra.
