The Nutcracker is coming to Lisinski in December!

The most famous and most-watched Christmas ballet fairy tale, which sold out Lisinski Hall four times in a row in 2019, will once again delight visitors of all ages - on December 11th!

The Nutcracker at Lisinski Hall is a Christmas fairy tale told through the ballet choreography of one of the most famous choreographers, ballet master and recipient of numerous awards and international recognitions - Valery Petrovich Kovtun. The Ukrainian Classical Ballet ensemble, whose soloists are Merited Artists of Ukraine and recipients of numerous ballet awards and recognitions, gave Kovtun's traditional choreography a modern look. The audience is immersed in a fairy tale world with the magical music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky through the story of a little girl named Marie, who finds an unusual gift under the Christmas tree and goes through marvellous adventures in a dream world with it.

The Ukrainian Classical Ballet preserves the tradition of classical ballet in its artistic expression, but also readily accepts elements of modern choreography. Zagreb’s audience has had several opportunities to see most artists of this excellent ensemble in ballets such as Radio & Juliet, Quatro and The Great Gatsby, and also in Giselle in October this year. They delighted the audience with incredible dance skills of exceptional sensibility and acting talent.

Our visitors recognized the quality of their Nutcracker performance, which is why more than eight thousand people saw this show during their 2019 Croatian tour.

Enriched with exciting lighting and special effects and new ingenious costumes, the great Christmas fairy tale at Lisinski Hall will for sure provide an unforgettable experience this winter, as well. What awaits you is the magic of an excellent dance and artistic troupe in an impressive production.

Tickets costing 160, 200, 235, 260 and 300 kunas are available at Lisinski box office and online HERE.
