Radio & Juliet Ballet Rock Spectacle Coming Up in March!

One of the most famous love stories told to the music of the popular British band Radiohead is coming to Lisinski Hall on 19 March 2022.

The contemporary and original ballet interpretation of Radio & Juliet was based on the idea of Shakespeare's most famous work Romeo and Juliet, set to the cult songs by the rock band Radiohead.

The ballet with daring choreography by world-renowned choreographer Edward Clug is set in modern times, intertwined with metaphors and symbols that combine refined femininity and masculine power through outstanding dance performance and special sensibility.

It is no coincidence that Radiohead ended up in the whole story and partly in the title itself. The tragic atmosphere and sensibility of Clug's favourite band's songs often reminded him of the story of Romeo and Juliet, so he developed this contemporary choreography, setting it to 11 Radiohead songs, primarily from the albums Kid A and Hail to the Thief.

The key question of this intriguing work is: "What would have happened if Juliet had not taken her own life?”

This unique rendition has toured the United States, Canada, Brazil, the Netherlands, Italy, Russia, Israel, Australia, Singapore, Korea and many other countries with great success and it will be equally enjoyed by contemporary ballet lovers and Radiohead fans, who will be delighted by this extraordinary symbiosis.

Tickets costing HRK 150, 170, 220, 240, 270 and 300 are available at the Lisinski Hall box office and online HERE.
